Marty Westvelt - Founding Partner
Canadian born, Marty arrived in Sydney Australia in 1980 with many years of experience in the automotive and equipment finance industry. After being with the Skipper Group managing their finance division he founded Automotive and General Finance in 1989 which subsequently changed its name to AGF Charter Group. His experience lies in the mining, drilling and power generation industries with clients Australia wide.
Barry Driscoll (C.D.) - Partner
Barry brought to Automotive and General Finance 24 year of banking experience with the ANZ Banking Group with the last 12 years in management roles which included 5 years in Kataning as the Esanda Finance manager, covering the southwest area of WA. He joined Automotive and General Finance in 1990 and is a licensed finance broker.
Barry specialises in truck and other equipment finance.
Richard Harper – Partner
Richard has been financing broking since 1988. He became a partner in Automotive and General Finance in 1995 previously operating his own finance broking business for two years in Darwin. Prior to this he was with Esanda Finance for 3 years followed by 10 years with AGC Property Finance, where he eventually attained the position of State Manager, Northern Territory.
He specialises in earthmoving and mining equipment, property finance and commercial banking transactions.
Peter Williams – Partner
Peter has been finance broking since 1994 and joined AGF Charter in 1999.
Previous to finance broking Peter was employed with Esanda Finance for seven years. His experience ranges from collection work through to chattel lending and home loan lending however he tends to specialise in Marine, Truck and Plant & Equipment finance.
Peter is now a partner of AGF Charter Group and brings to the business a wealth of experience and knowledge of the finance industry.
Dave McGinniss – Financial Broker
Dave has been finance broking for since 1994 and with AGF Charter since 1996.
Previous to finance broking Dave was employed in the motor trade from 1980 and has experience in all areas of administration, finance and insurance as well as sales. The last 5 years were spent in the finance department with John Hughes Group and Brian Gardner Group. Dave has experience in all areas of financing including truck, equipment, motor vehicles as well as business and home loans. He is a holder of a Diploma of Accountancy and Certificate of Finance Broking.
Pam Merks – Office Manager
Pam worked in the mining and engineering business in Botswana, Africa. On arrival in Australia she worked in advertising and accounts for approximately 4 years. For the next 15 years worked in the automotive business in finance and accounts. Pam joined AGF in August 2005 as the office manager.
Dave Hill – Home Loan Executive Consultant
Dave has been working in the finance industry since 1989. In that time he has worked for several different lending institutions including the State Bank of NSW (now Commonwealth Bank), Macquarie Bank, RAMS Home Loans and Wizard Home Loans before joining AGF in April 2005. He holds a current WA Finance Brokers Licence and is a member of MIAA
Rebecca Hultink – Office Managers' Assistant
Rebecca joined AGF in December 2005. She has 2 years customer service experience and is assisting the office manager in all administrative duties
